CME Small Group Network

The CME Small Group Network provides an opportunity for meeting your continuing medical education needs by attending small group meetings organised and run by a local CME tutor. This allows you to keep up-to-date within a friendly, well structured format. These meetings with colleagues in active general practice from your area take place once per month and allow peers to discuss and learn about topics relevant to modern general practice.

Professional Competence

If you need to locate an article, reference, or publication you can contact the Irish College of GPs library staff. Our members also have access to many online journals and resources through this website. Forum, the Journal of the Irish College of GPs, is published monthly and the full text is also available online.

Support for Working GPs

Given that GPs tend to work in isolation without the supports that exist for larger, more structured business organisations, the Irish College of GPs has developed a range of projects, programmes, and courses to support its members in the practice. Some of these are outlined below.
