Supporting Documentation

The supporting documentation requirements for the 2024 recruitment process are outlined below.

Supporting Documentation/Links Evidence
Eligibility for entry to the Trainee Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council* Certificate of registration with IMC (current interns) Or Certificate of experience from IMC or previous intern registration certificate (completed internship in Ireland)

 

 

Or Copy of primary medical qualification from one of the listed EU Countries

Or Current or previous certificate of registration from IMC in the General or Trainee Specialist Division

Or Email/letter from Irish Medical Council confirming eligibility (only for doctors that cannot provide one of the above forms of confirmation).

English language competency confirmation*
Evidence of Registration (in any division) with the Medical Council in Ireland prior to 1 January 2015 

 

 

Or Medical Degree completed in entirety in Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom or United States 

Or English language certificate (does not have to be dated within 2 years of application but is required to meet the minimum scoring as outlined here)
& provision of current/previous HSE employment post as Medical Doctor on the application form.

Or Irish leaving certificate/A level certificate + Medical Degree +Confirmation that medical degree was taught/examined solely through English 

Or IELTS (International English Language Testing System Academic Test) Certificate or OET (Occupational English Test), completed within two years of application,

The information and statements contained in the application for GP trainee recruitment 2024 and in the attachments provided with the application must be accurate, true, and legible. The inclusion any false statements or submission of any inauthentic documentation will render the application invalid and will result in the immediate elimination of the applicant from the application process.
