Graduation Ceremony 2023

The Irish College of GPs held its 2023 graduation ceremony in the historic Round Room of the Mansion House in Dublin's city centre. Over 475 graduates and guests were in attendance for the ceremony and reception. This was the first year in which the Scheme Directors were involved in the procession party, a tradition that will now be included in the ceremony going forward.

The Graduation Platform Party consisted of:

  • Mr Fintan Foy, CEO, Irish College of GPs
  • Dr Eamonn Shanahan, President of the Irish College of GPs
  • Dr Deirdre Collins, Chair of the Irish College of GPs
  • Dr Martin Rouse, Irish College of GPs National Director of Specialist Training in General Practice
  • Dr Marie Hogan, Chair, MICGP Exam Sub-Committee

Meet the Graduates

There was a total of 161 Graduates in 2023 with the following numbers of graduates representing each region:

  • Dublin North Leinster – 37
  • Dublin South Leinster – 41
  • South – 46
  • West – 37

Dr. Ciara Joy, North Dublin City Scheme was awarded the Ellard W. Eppel Trophy for first place in the MICGP Examination on the 31st anniversary of the award being presented.

The Irish College of GPs congratulates and warmly welcomes all of our newest members of College.

Graduation 2024

The 2024 MICGP Graduation ceremony will take place on Saturday, 2 November 2024, in the Mansion House, Dublin 2.
